In an announcement that surprised absolutely no one, Duke basketball player Zion Williamson has officially declared for the 2019 NBA draft.
Making the announcement on Instagram Monday, the forward called his freshman year "the best year of my life." He's projected to be the number one overall pick when the draft lottery happens on May 14th.
Williamson's announcement comes after two of his teammates, freshmen R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish, declared for the draft earlier this month.
