Sam Greenwood / Staff-Getty ImagesIn the sixteen years that the Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia) Championship has been contested, it has only had one person raise the winning trophy more than once, Rory McIlroy.
After a 5-under-par, 67 in round one, he once again sits atop the leaderboard. He's joined there by Joel Dahmen. The group at 4-under includes Patrick Reed-who carded the only bogey-free round in the field en route to his 68.
In his career, Rory has converted 3 of 13 first round leads to victories. In this tournaments history, only 2 of the 18 hole leaders have gone on to win (Jim Furyk/2006, Derek Ernst/2013).
Rory begins his second round on Friday at 7:40am off of the 10th tee.
