TORONTO, ON - NOVEMBER 08: Cammi Granato (C) is presented with her Hall of Fame ring by Jim Gregory (L) and Don Hay (R) at a media opportunity prior to her induction ceremony at the Hockey Hall of Fame on November 8, 2010 in Toronto, Canada.

Women continue to take over the NHL as Seattle hires the leagues first female scout.

What started as women officiating prospect games has opened up a door for a whole new uprising.

Even though Seattle does not have a team name yet and will not officially come into the league in 2021, they have started to hire their scouting staff.

What is so special about Seattles scouting staff?

They have hired the first female scout in NHL history. Cammi Granato is a 48-year-old USWNT legend. You can also see her featured in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

What does this mean for women in hockey moving forward?

When will we see the first female in a teams front office?
