The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Washington Nationals for a win or go home game to end the NLDS.
The first pitch is set to be at 8:37 p.m. EST. Stud right-hander Walker Buehler will start the game for the Dodgers. So far this postseason, Buehler has pitched 6 innings and recorded 8 strikeouts without allowing an earned run. To top it off he also has a WHIP of 0.67.
Going for the Nationals will be Stephen Strasburg. During the NLDS this year, Strasburg has appeared in a single game and pitched 6 innings. During the duration of those innings, Strasburg allowed 3 hits and only an earned run. He also struck out 10 batters during his first start.
The winner of this game will advance to face the winner of the Cardinals and Braves series. Which, at this point in time, is not looking good for the Braves.
With two of the best pitchers in baseball starting tonight, there should not be a plethora of runs being scored. The key for both teams tonight is to hop on the opposing pitcher early. It is not going to be easy to score runs, so if they can jump on the scoreboard in the first couple of innings, that is a lead they should be able to ride out for the rest of the game.
