Charlotte Gets Its First Continuous Flow Intersection
Charlotte drivers pay close attention. A new intersection at North Carolina Highway 16 and Mount Holly-Huntersville Road opens Friday and its the first continuous flow intersection.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the design improves traffic flow. With this design, it will increase the efficiency of an intersection because all left-turning traffic is separated from the main traffic flow. You can see how it works from the video below.
