Basketball legend Michael Jordan shed a few tears when he unveiled the first of two medical clinics he and his family are funding in Charlotte, North Carolina. These medical facilities will provide care to underprivileged members of the Charlotte Community. Tears streamed down the six-time NBA champion's cheeks as he was present for the grand opening of the Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic. "This is a very emotional thing for me to be able to give back to a community that has supported me over the years," Jordan said.

Michael Jordan donated $7 million to Novant Health. He first announced the $7 million donation in 2017. The clinic will provide vital access to primary and preventive care to members of the community.
