A Year Later: Butler High School Shooting
Today marks one year since Butler High School student Bobby McKeithen was fatally shot by another student. The shooting was a result of an off-campus fight between the two.
In fact, Bobby would have turned 17-years-old this month. In memory, peers from Butler are honoring him by installing a Day of Kindness. The entire school is coming together to honor his life. This morning, students began placing nearly 2,000 pinwheels near the front of campus.

In addition, faculty and staff of the entire Charlotte Mecklenburg School district are taking time to show their support to Butler High School.
