Linus The Great Pumpkin…Really
I’ve heard of Santa Claus, I’ve heard of the Tooth Fairy, I’ve even heard and seen the Easter Bunny but the Great Pumpkin…I’VE NEVER HEARD OF’EM! Nothing pleases me more on Halloween then watching Peanuts It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. You can have all the Michael Myers, Freddy Kruger’s, Jason’s…you give me a dumb kid who thinks a damn pumpkin is gonna bring him presents vs going Trick or Treating..I’m in!
First of all I have this program in my DVR and I watch it at least 7 mins of it at least 10 times a month. Hey it keeps my creative juices flowing what can I say. In the beginning when Linus and his sister Lucy are walking out the house notice Linus picks up an apple takes a bit and tosses it in the trash can.
Right there at that moment and had my mom seen me be that wasteful…I wouldn’t be Trick or Treating nothing but my bed. After I finished that apple of course. Bottom line It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is a beautiful master piece about a kid who believes in something so bad that he’d risk the biggest night in a childs life next to Christmas Eve. I wonder if Linus will see him this year? Q
