PHOENIX, ARIZONA - AUGUST 18: Starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner #40 of the San Francisco Giants pitches against the Arizona Diamondbacks during the first inning of the MLB game at Chase Field on August 18, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona.

With the free-agent market getting closer to opening up, the Braves have one name highlighted on their list.

According to a source, the Braves are looking to quickly get a deal done to bring Madison Bumgarner to Atlanta.

This could really help the Braves team as a unit. Bumgarner has a ton of postseason experience and knows what it takes to win a championship.

When the 2020 campaign starts, Bumgarner will be entering his twelfth year in the league.

He also led all major leaguers in games started last year, making all 34 starts.

A career 119-92, Bumgarner holds a 3.13 ERA and 1794 strikeouts.
