Charlotte-Area Makeup Testers Contained Loads of Bacterias
This is something to keep in mind the next time you want to test our that pretty lipstick in the store.
Ever since I was little I have loved makeup. One of my favorite thing to do when I was a child was going with my mother to the beauty store and sample all the fun eyeshadows and lipsticks they had to try. However, as I grew up I became a bit of a germaphobe and gave up playing in all the makeup samples.
Well, after this report I’m glad I hate germs.
The NBC Charlotte Defenders team went to different cosmetic stores across the Charlotte area and sampled various makeup testers. After taking samples from lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushes, and mascaras to a local Dr., the results were quite shocking. Some samples contained mold and even could result in an MRSA infection.
