Snow Is Coming To The Charlotte Area!
It was predicted to be a cold snowy winter for us, but so far that doesn’t seem to be the case.
For someone like me who is a kid at heart and loves a good snow day, this has been a little disappointing. Luckily for us, the Town of Huntersville is stepping up to the plate to make sure everyone gets to experience at least one epic snow day this year!
Saturday, January 18th they are bringing us “SNOWFEST” at Richard Barry Memorial Park on Beatties Ford Road. The event which takes place from 4 pm-7 pm is FREE and they guarantee that Jack Frost will be sending us some snow.
Bring your own sled, toboggan, or tube for sledding in the park, kids aged 1-5 can participate in a treasure hunt, and there will be hot chocolate, warm donuts, funnel cakes, and s’ more vendors on-site plus Roaming Fork and Ole’ Buddy’s Oinkers Express food trucks!
So grad your kids, your friends, or whomever and enjoy some snowy fun! More info is available at huntersville.org
I’m still hoping for a couple of real snow days in Charlotte but until then this sounds like the perfect way to make some winter memories.
