Breaking Tuesday afternoon Mecklenburg County has issued the order of "Stay at Home" proclamation to begin at 8 am Thursday morning through midnight on April 16th. Only essential businesses will be able to be open. These include the following:

  • Shop at grocery stores
  • Visit pharmacies
  • Shop at hardware stores
  • Visit medical services and doctors, but only if telehealth is not available
  • Visit restaurant drive-thru and take-out
  • Care for others
  • Exercise, such as visiting a greenway, park, or walking the dog so long as 6 feet of separation is maintained
  • Receive home deliverers

Residents Cannot do the following:

  • Go to work, except for those residents who maintain essential jobs
  • Attend social gatherings

You will be able to leave your home to go to the grocery stores, work if it is deemed essential, care for loved ones, go to the doctor or pharmacy, or workout if you keeping a 6-foot distance.
