Working Remotely? Why Not Do It In Barbados!
If you are working remotely because of the pandemic, you don’t need to be doing it from home. I am, and boy would I love to talk part in this sweet deal.
Wouldn’t you love to take your job to the Caribbean for a year? Barbados is proposing a year-long travel stamp that would make it possible for you to relocate to the island paradise and work from there. I have a pet so I don’t think I’ll be going…but if you can check this out!
Prime Minister Mia Mottley is considering the plan to bring people to Barbados since the country has been hit hard by a lack of tourism during the coronavirus outbreak. The Caribbean country is set to introduce a “12-month Barbados Welcome Stamp,” which would allow visitors from overseas to stay for an entire year and work remotely.
Barbados’ statistics stayed relatively low overall if you are wondering, with only 98 cases and seven deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. Travelers would live in Barbados and be immersed in the culture for longer than a cruise ship stopover or a one week vacation. That sounds amazing! You can chill on the beach, enjoy the views, and maybe sip a tropical drink. Barbados will open its borders to international visitors on July 12th, 2020.
