The Capital Grille Is Sending ‘The Generous Pour’ To Your Home This Summer
Perhaps no businesses have pivoted more creatively during the pandemic than restaurants. Suddenly, every type of restaurant has had to perfect their to-go and delivery game. Even higher-end dining establishments that have always thrived on having customers actually come in and sit down for a meal are doing things differently in 2020.
The Capital Grille in uptown Charlotte has kicked off its highly anticipated annual summer event, The Generous Pour. The tasting event is designed for wine lovers interested in expanding their wine knowledge while trying new labels and pairings. For the first time ever, The Generous Pour is available to take home so you can enjoy the guided wine tasting in your own dining room.
Whether in the restaurant or at home, you can sample as many wines as they wish from a selection of seven distinctive labels as they dine. Each wine is chosen with The Capital Grille’s menu in mind, and servers guide you through the ultimate pairing experience, complete with tasting notes.
The 2020 lineup features seven white, red, and rosé labels by Wine Enthusiast Wine Maker of the Year, Dave Phinney— including the Orin Swift, Department 66, and Location collections. You can order any or all of the featured wines with your take-home dinner.
The Generous Pour wine experience is $28 with dinner and includes a Stölzle crystal Generous Pour wine glass per entree, plus a take-home guide with videos (see one below) featuring Dave Phinney talking about his wines. The event runs through September 6th. To order online or see more details, visit TheCapitalGrille.com.
