Stores Officially Closed on Thanksgiving Day 2020
Thanksgiving is not only a day to spend with family, but over the past few years, it’s also has become a day to spend shopping. But this year, things are changing. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, a ton of stores will not be opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day.
Here’s a full list of stores confirmed to be closed on Thanksgiving thus far:
- Academy Sports and Outdoors
- Bath & Body Works
- Bed Bath & Beyond
- Best Buy
- BJ’s
- Boscov’s
- Costco
- Dick’s Sporting Goods
- Foot Locker
- GameStop
- The Home Depot
- JCPenney
- Kohl’s
- Lamps Plus
- Macy’s
- Office Depot/OfficeMax
- REI
- Simon Property Group
- Target
- Ulta
- Under Armour
- The Outlet Resource Group
- Walmart
- Williams-Sonoma
Personally, I find it disgusting that stores were opening up at 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day anyway. I mean it wasn’t even Friday, so how could it be a Black Friday deal? I obviously am not too upset that these stores will be closed, but I do think it’s sad that we had to have a world pandemic for things to finally change.
