Carolina Panthers Release A Pro Bowler

He spent eight years here in Carolina. The Carolina Panthers announced that they are releasing defensive tackle Kawann Short.

Short has spent his career in Carolina.  He was a second-round pick back in 2013.  He became a superstar and most teams had to double-team the Pro Bowler. He was selected for the Pro Bowl twice.

His last few years have been a disappointment. He has had some injury issues also. It was really a financial decision to part ways with Short. He was making about 16 million a season.
