‘I Had Been Kidnapped’: Tiktoker Says She Found Out She Was A Missing Person Since 1980
An unnamed 42-year-old Tiktoker learned that she was a missing person and she’s been missing since 1980. After finding out that her current mother wasn’t her biological mother, she turned to the police to locate more information through criminal records. The Sherrif she was working with quickly took a strong interest in the case. The woman explained in the video that the sheriff she was talking to urged her to sit as he delivered the devastating news. “I had been [missing] since 1980,” she says. “There was a police investigation I could not access because the records had been archived, but I had been kidnapped.”

The Tiktoker, @thebeardedmom, shared 15 videos giving updates. It turns out that her biological mother had sold her but her biological grandmother reported her missing. Not wanting to admit what she did her mother went along with it. According to her “my mother’s family, they all believe that I was kidnapped. The family that kidnapped me, their family all believes that I was saved from a crazy lady.” The couple that took her was abusive and treated her awful. They eventually got divorced and sat her down to explain they weren’t her biological parents. She would then go on to live her with adoptive “dad”. Her “female captor” wanted nothing to do with her.
As a young adult, she set out to track down her biological mother. When the two were reunited it didn’t go well. They are no longer in contact. She has since reunited with her biological father as well. That relationship seems to be going better.
