Teacher Accused Of Buying Alcohol For Students On Prom Night
Alcohol on prom night, it’s illegal but not unheard of. But teachers providing that alcohol? That’s not something you hear every day. But now an Indiana teacher has accused of buying alcohol to an underage student on prom night.
Katherine Fondrisi is a business teacher at Floyd Central High School in Indiana. She was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and furnishing alcohol to a minor. Her actions were discovered while the police department was investigating 4 underage students who were caught with alcohol at prom. The students were discovered with multiple bottles of liquor in the parking lot at the prom. The school’s resource officer confiscated a brown paper bag from the students’ vehicle. That bag contained a credit card receipt with Fondrisi’s name on the card. The officer immediately recognized the name as a teacher. The student allegedly was a former student of Fondrisi’s and also knew her from beauty pageants. Authorities believe this is not the first time Fondrisi has provided the student alcohol.
