Gas Prices Hit A Seven-Year High
Are you traveling this Memorial Day Weekend? If so you aren’t alone. An estimated 34 million motorists are expected to hit the road this weekend. As a result gas prices hit a seven-year high ahead of Memorial Day Weekend. I filled up yesterday and paid $2.99 a gallon more than I’ve paid in recent memory. Many people are planning to hit the road this weekend for the first time in more than a year. But that is only if they can afford to fill up their tank. The gas prices have surged to their highest point in 7 years. This is due to a variety of factors. These include the recent pipeline hack, a lack of tanker truck drivers, and increased demand as people venture out of their homes. Hopefully, this does not lead to more gas shortages.
