Rocket Launch May be Visible from Charlotte Region Tuesday Morning
Look up into the sky on Tuesday because that flying object you might see is a rocket! Residents of the Charlotte region may want to plan an early wake-up Tuesday morning!
A Minotaur 1 rocket is scheduled to take off at 7 a.m. Tuesday from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, NASA said. The rocket will be carrying three national security payloads for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
Weather permitting we should be able to see it at around 30-60 seconds after liftoff. Let’s hope for clear skies because the launch may not be visible if the weather doesn’t call for sunny skies.
Live coverage of the mission countdown is scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. on the Wallops YouTube site.
