Charlotte Man Arrested With 5.69 Pounds of Cocaine On I-85
Approximately 5.69 pounds of cocaine was seized by Rowan County Sheriff’s officials after a traffic stop on I-85. Charlotte resident Ladd Morrison has been charged with trafficking cocaine by transportation, trafficking cocaine by possession, and possession with intent to sell cocaine. Morrisons $150,000 bond was posted and he has been released. He is no stranger to breaking the law Morrison has a “lengthy criminal history” and recently served seven years in federal prison regarding a narcotics violation. During the traffic stop, a drug canine was used and detected the cocaine. This is not the first time drugs have been found on North Carolina interstates. Word to the wise if you’re carrying something, like 5.69 pounds of cocaine, that you shouldn’t be, maybe drive a little extra cautiously.
