ECU To Forgive $1 Million Of Student Debt From 2020
Great news for East Carolina University Students. After receiving money from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, ECU is using a portion of that money to forgive nearly $1 million in student debt. Per a news release issued Wednesday, the intent is to provide relief to students facing hardships and financial troubles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Just over 600 students will have their outstanding student debt balances from summer and fall of 2020 taken care of.
