A NC City Made The List For Best Cities To Do Outdoor Yoga
Yoga is my go-to workout and one of the few workouts I truly enjoy. One thing to love is that it can be done almost anywhere including outside. Yoga in the park, goat yoga, brewery yoga there are lots of options. Have you ever wondered what are the best cities for outdoor yoga? Well, luckily Lawn Love ranked over 80 of the largest US cities to determine just that. Things considered were the amount of green space, number of yoga instructors, and yoga instructors with good ratings. Surprisingly, or maybe not, a NC city topped the list for the best places to do outdoor yoga.
That’s right Greensboro, NC came in first. It was the city with the best combination of high-quality yoga instruction, affordability, and environmental factors. Greensboro also offers several specialty types of yoga including trap yoga, which is yoga set to the rhythm of trap music, goat yoga for animal lovers, and always a hit beer yoga. Beer yoga and goat yoga are also options offered in the Charlotte area and both are a lot of fun! Several other southeastern cities were present in the top 10 as well. Atlanta, Winston-Salem, Arlington, Virginia, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Richmond, Virginia. Virginia which is home to the mountains and beach and is close to D.C. is a great location for outdoor yoga. Richmond hosts the Peace Love RVA yoga festival each year. Virginia is also home to Yogaville a serene yoga retreat nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

What about the worst cities? It’s no surprise that many were in Arizona. The desert, while it does mimic hot yoga a popular style of yoga, is hardly the ideal location for outdoor workouts. And while the scorpion pose is a classic in many practices encountering an actual scorpion isn’t recommended.
