One of the great misconceptions about professional golfers, is that they hit every fairway, every green, and make every putt.  It simply doesn't happen.  In Tiger Woods' greatest years on the PGA Tour, he would hit between 60-65% of greens in regulation.  Phil Mickelson (the second best player of the generation) maybe a little less than that.  If you and I hit 45% of greens we're having a great day.  So, what makes the difference in scoring?  Getting up and down.  We're all gonna be chipping the golf ball all day.  With today's video accompaniment to the "Taking Dead Aim" podcast, PGA Master Teaching Professional Nick Jacobi from Stonebridge Golf Club gives a GREAT, simple chipping tip.

Next week, we'll "pitch" the golf ball.  It's important to remember the difference between pitching and chipping is chipping is done along the ground, pitching is in the air (and tougher).  See ya next week.
