Charlotte NC Remembers the 9/11 Attacks 20 Years Later
The events that happened on 9/11 changed our world forever. With the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks this week, memorial events and ceremonies will be adjusted with the public’s health in mind.
9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Set For Saturday In Charlotte: 560 participants will climb 110 floors at Truist Field in Charlotte to honor fallen 9/11 first responders. The September 11th event will begin at 7 a.m. with opening ceremonies. The climb will start at 9 a.m. Truist Field is located at 324 South Mint Street in Charlotte. Proceeds from the 9/11 Stair Climb benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
September 109/11 Blue Mass: This will be held at 8 a.m. on September 10th, 2021 at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church located at 1441 Spear St., Port Charlotte.
9/11 Commemoration will be held at 9:30 a.m. on September 11th at Englewood Freedom Pavilion and Veterans Memorial located at 641 W. Dearborn St., Englewood.
9/11 Remembrance Ceremony held at 10 a.m. on September 11th at the Military Heritage Museum. This is located at 900 W. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda.
Patriot Day 9/11 Commemoration: This event will be held at 11 a.m., September 11 at American Legion Post 110 located at 3152 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte.
9/11 Memorial Ceremony: will be held at 11 a.m., September 11th at Veterans Memorial Park. This is located at 3436 Indiana Road, Rotonda West.
9/11 Flag Ceremony: This will be held at 12 p.m. on September 11th at Englewood AmVets Post 777 located at 3386 N. Access Road, Englewood.
