Free Counseling Opportunity for Residents of Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties
For the past year and a half, the pandemic has changed the way we live, work, study, and play. Now, as things begin to sporadically reopen – with the ever-present threat of being shut down again – it’s normal to feel, well, not quite normal.
Life can be a lot of sometimes. Anxiety, stress, and fear are common phrases we’ve heard as children head back to school and adults return to the office. The reality is that dealing with these continual pressures can be overwhelming. But it doesn’t need to be.
Mental Health America of Central Carolinas (MHA) wants people to know that even though life is hard right now, help is here. Residents of Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties are eligible to receive up to 6 free short-term counseling sessions from licensed counselors through funding from the United Way of Central Carolinas, Mecklenburg County, and Disability Rights and Resources.
Expert counselors can help you build stories about relationships, the new work/life balance, returning to school and/or the office, substance abuse as a result of the pandemic, family life changes, and more. You can visit here for more information on eligibility and additional resources.
