Charlotte Optometrist Featured On The Food Network Tonight
Local Charlotte optometrist Sherelle Morrison, who also moonlights as a baker is getting the opportunity of a lifetime on the Food Network. Beginning tonight Morrison will be a contestant on Food Network’s “Halloween Baking Championship. The show airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on the Food Network and discovery+.
Morrison posts her creations in her Instagram account (@sherellebakes). The Food Network saw her creations and a casting director sent her a message asking her to be a part of the show. The show will feature the bakers competing for a $25,000 prize and the title of “Halloween Baking Championship” winner. Each week the contestants will have to create cakes and cupcakes based on different “80s slasher movies”. Judges will eliminate one baker each week until they get to a winner.
Morrison says she doesn’t have plans to open a physical retail business, but says if she won she’d consider using the money to start a nonprofit.
