Researchers with Porch.com ranked metropolitan areas according to median annual earnings for roofers, adjusted for the cost of living.
In the Charlotte metro area, roofers earn a median annual wage of $39,630. After adjusting for the below-average cost of living in Charlotte, that figure increases to $41,981 per year, compared to a median of $43,580 that roofers earn throughout the country. Still, out of all large U.S. metropolitan areas, Charlotte is the 17th worst-paying for roofers.
