What is the Fastest Growing City in North Carolina?

Having lived in North Carolina for so many years, I absolutely love it. People always ask me why. North Carolina gives me a little bit of everything. It’s like the ultimate lifestyle buffet. If I want, I can visit the mountains, the lake or the beach. I can explore city life, but if it gets too overwhelming, I can wander to the countryside.

Since North Carolina has so much to offer, it’s no wonder our cities are growing fast. To determine the fastest growing city in each state, 247WallSt reviewed population data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s Population and Housing Estimates Program. Metropolitan areas were ranked based on total population change from 2010 to 2020.

According to 247Wallst, the fastest growing city in North Carolina is the Raleigh-Cary metro area. Its population grew by 25.6% from 2010 to 2020 to 1,420,376 residents. During that same time, the population of North Carolina grew by 11.2%.

  I love this park. It is located between Durham, Cary, and Raleigh in North Carolina, across 5,579 acres of land. With its wooded paths and trails and beautiful lakes, it is certainly one of the must-see places to visit in North Carolina for nature lovers. The William B. Umstead State Park offers many different ways to spend your time. Hiking, cycling, walking, running, and even canoeing or paddle boating can all be done.

  Baseball your thing? You should catch a game if you are in the Durham area. Durham Bulls are a minor league baseball team in North Carolina and are a great way to spend time with family and friends. Around the stadium, there is also a lot to do after the game. It is located in the historic tobacco lane, which has shops, picnic areas, and more!

  Beautiful beaches can be found in North Carolina. Since the 1930s, North Carolina beaches have been a top destination for families. Rental cottages and beach houses are popular on the coast as people go to escape the heat, enjoy the ocean breezes, swim in the Atlantic waters, and have a good time with friends and family.
