Right now it's looking like there is a pretty good chance we are going to get at least some snow here in the piedmont of North Carolina. Kids, I sincerely hope I didn't just jinx that for you. Where I am in the south part of Charlotte it seems like it's been YEARS since we've gotten any significant accumulation. But that won't keep me from holding out hope for a winter wonderland. As a kid there was nothing more exciting than a snow day and all the fun activities that came with it!
The current forecast has us expecting a mix of snow and ice, I'm personally hoping that leans more snow! Precipitation is supposed to begin Saturday night and continue throughout the day Sunday. Currently, there is an 80% change and accumulation could be anywhere from 3-8 inches per some forecasts.
While we all get our hopes up or pray for just rain depending on who you are, here are some ideas for snow day activities just in case we get one!
