Charlotte is home to a new restaurant and it's one that is breaking down barriers and making history. It's called  ‘Romeo’s Vegan Burgers’, not only is it the only black-owned vegan drive-thru in North Carolina, it's the only one in the southeast.

The restaurant, owned by Monty Faulkner, began as a food truck. Now the brick-and-mortar restaurant, complete with a drive-thru, opened at the end of last year at 5518 South Blvd. The menu is 100% vegan and features burgers, fries, milkshakes, salads, and more. Romeo's website describes the burger as  a hamburger that even nonvegans can enjoy."

According to Instagram, the black-owned vegan drive-thru is currently hiring for multiple positions including cooks, cashiers, and team members. Pay starts at $12 per hour. We wish them all the success and growth with the restaurant!
