A new Mt. Olive Pickles plant is coming to North Carolina. The facility, which will be home to manufacturing, a warehouse, and a distribution center will be located in Goldsboro, NC. This will mark the first time Mt. Olive Pickles has expanded outside of its hometown- Mount. Olive. This will bring 127 new jobs to the community.

Per an article from WITN, Mt. Olive will invest $35 million in the 290,000 square feet space which will feature three more production lines. The state of North Carolina is providing $600,000 to help with the new initiative.

Mt. Olive was founded in the town bearing the same name back in 1926, with only a 3,600 square foot building and $19,500 in capital, according to their website. Today, Mt. Olive has grown to manufacture the best selling brand of pickles in the Southeast, and the best selling brand of pickles in the country.
