Spotting a wallaby in Gastonia isn’t something I had on my bingo card for 2022!

Gaston County Communications officials got a call about a possible kangaroo in the Gaston County area. It turns out it was a wallaby! It was spotted hopping around at the corner of East Maple and Elizabeth streets Monday morning.
The officials were able to locate the owners. It turns out that wallabies are not legal to be kept as pets in the city.
It’s just so cute!
