I don't wear extensions like I used to, but I understood the cost for a great unit, so I can understand these braids won't cost $200-$300. I can honestly see this style costing $500-$1000, but $4k is a lot. Here is the additional thing that we have to remember, these are HER prices. If that's what she charges, so be it. As a consumer, you always have to choose not to give someone your business.
I must say, the finished product was beautiful. There were a lot of very tiny braids. The hair needed to do the style I'm sure wasn't cheap. Even when I had braids, I didn't use mediocre quality hair. Because of that, I knew my ticket wasn't going to be light. Check out this video and let us know your thoughts.
