North Carolina Apple Picking Spot One of the Best in the Country

As we embrace the fall season, we get into all of the fall activities. From pumpkin patches to apple picking, this is the season to get out and enjoy. Personally, I have never been apple picking but it does sound like a cool activity to give a try this year. Plus, since I am in North Carolina I can enjoy one of the best in the country.

Yelp curated a list of the top 25 apple picking spots in the United States and guess what? One apple-picking spot in North Carolina is on that list! Ever heard of Grandad's Apples? Well, this apple-picking spot in Hendersonville, North Carolina came in at No. 23 on the list.

Grandad's Apples is a family-owned location that has been operating since 1994. This family-owned farm is home to 120 acres of land. The farm offers a variety of apples throughout the seasons that people can enjoy while out and about apple picking. Besides apple picking, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including a corn maze, cow train, and even an apple cannon! I enjoy being able to go outside and not be too hot or too cold and enjoying all the cute fall activities that happen around the city. But, there are some other things that happen around the fall. Everyone loves a good fair in the fall! The Cabarrus County Fair is no different. From September 9th to the 17th enjoy rides, entertainment, your favorite fair foods, livestock, and more!

The must do in October is the Mecktoberfest! Happening at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery on two weekends, from September 16th to the 18th and September 23rd to the 25th. Enjoy special Octoberfest songs and great beer with your favorite people in Charlotte. 

Check out Freedom Park for your chance to experience art a new level. There will be over 100 artists and artisans and live entertainment stages for you to enjoy from September 16th to the 18th.

Head to Union County for their Heritage Festival and enjoy this FREE festival with a vendor fair, kid's activities, live entertainment, and more on September 17th.

For all the healthy eaters, the Charlotte VegFest celebrates healthy and sustainable eating. You will get to the explore the benefits of vegetarian living on September 17th. 

Celebrate the 32nd Latin American Festival on September 17th. The event will feature live performances, handmade crafts, visual artists, and more! Admission and parking are FREE!

Head to the Jewish Deli Fest and enjoy delicious Jewish foods hard to find in the South. There will be food, music, and dancing to celebrate the culture at this festival on September 18th. 

Everyone loves it and everyone knows it, it's the Taste of Charlotte. Happening September 30th to October 2nd, you will be able to purchase festival coins to sample food and pay for kid's activities. Enjoy music, food, and so much more at Truist Field.

Check out the Charlotte Dragon Boat Races and Asian Festival  on October 8th and celebrate Asian culture. Watch local dragon boat teams race and celebrate the Asian culture during this culture fest.
