The holiday season is upon us, which means it will be New Years before we know it. And that means resolutions. One of the most popular resolutions every year is to lose weight or work out more. You've probably tried a million things. If you're still searching for that workout that you don't hate and still provides results then maybe one of these fitness trends will be that one! Our friends at PureGym just released their annual Fitness Report. Included in the report are the workout trends that are set to be everywhere in 2023.
By analyzing the current number of monthly Google searches for over 120 different fitness trends versus the same period one year ago, PureGym detailed which have seen the biggest spikes in interest going into 2023.
And one that I participate in often came out on top. The 12-3-30 workout is the trend that has seen the biggest rise in searches as we reach the end of 2022. There has been a 309% spike in interest. The workout routine, which is done on a treadmill, went viral on TikTok, and for good reason. You set your treadmill to an incline of 12, a speed of 3, and walk for 30 minutes. Sounds easy right? It's actually not. It's a great workout and burns a ton of calories. Plus that incline is great for toning your "buns and thighs" (to be PG). I actually do a slightly altered version of this just to keep myself with smaller goals. I personally start at an incline of 13 and decrease it by .5 every 10 minutes.

This Is What The Average North Carolina Gym Membership Will Cost You
How much does a North Carolina gym membership cost compared to other places? MyProtein recently conducted a study that named New York as the most expensive state for gym-goers. Which probably doesn't come as much of a shock. In fact NYC had an average cost of $105.56 for a monthly membership. The next highest cost? $77 in DC. In contrast, the cheapest state, Alabama, has an average gym cost of $22.
Myprotein used cost of living data to uncover the prices of gym memberships across the country. Obviously gym memberships can very dramatically from discount places charging around $10 to boutique fitness gyms charging in the hundreds for a month.
