It's not often that you get a high school from Concord, North Carolina put on a nationally ranked list for one of the top basketball programs in the country.  Max Preps puts out a weekly list of the top 25 high school basketball teams in the nation. This week Central Cabarrus High School debuted on the list at number 23.

The Vikings of Central Cabarrus this season have a record of 22-0 and average 87.7 points per game. They have scored over 100 points five times this season and epitomize what it means to play a team game of basketball.  They've also won 52 of their last 53 games and came within one game of playing for a state championship last season.

Dorman High School in Roebuck, South Carolina comes in on this list at number 24 with a record of 23-2.  This is their first time back on the list since finishing the 2019-2020 season at No. 2 in the final Max Preps top 25.  They have one regular season game remaining before their conference tournament begins and the playoffs as well.

Both teams are looking to end the season with state championships.  Good luck to both teams this season! Let's see which Carolina team can take home a state championship in high school basketball this season.
