Do you enjoy a good steakhouse dinner? I know some people enjoy a steakhouse dinner any day of the week. But, then there are some who just enjoy it mainly for special occasions. For all of the meat eaters who know the perfect steak, then they probably have their go-to spots. If you enjoy the perfect steak for dinner, then there is that ONE place that has some of the best-cut steaks you've ever had. Can you think of some of your favorite places?

The team at Eat This conducted a study to determine the best steakhouse in every state. That's right, that one spot in each state that makes a steak lover go crazy! Whether you like super rare or straight well done, one of these places may be a need for you. We had to narrow it down to the best spots in the Carolinas. Where in North and South Carolina should you go?

When in North Carolina, Eat This says you should check out Gamekeeper in Boone, North Carolina. Gamekeeper Restaurant and Bar is serving up some of the most delicious southern and steakhouse classics. They use fresh, local ingredients to marry fine dining and comfort food up in the mountains. The menu includes tasty options such as cornmeal fried trout, beef culotte steak, mac n' blue cheese, and more!

Now, when you take your taste buds to South Carolina then head down to Charleston (or Greenville and Columbia) and check out Halls Chophouse. This chophouse uses hand-selected, aged, hand-cut portions of steak. Steak lovers can enjoy filet mignon, dry aged steaks, New York strip steaks, ribeye steaks, and porterhouse steaks. You can also enjoy some of the menu favorites like lobster and smoked bacon mac and cheese, sweet and sour collard greens, lump crab cake, she-crab soup, and more!

Check out the full list here to see what other great steakhouse options you have in other states nearby.

Here Are The 5 Best Steakhouses In North Carolina

I try and stick to chicken and fish most of the time.  Every now and then, I have got to have a steak.  Sadly, in the small town I live in there is not a steakhouse.  So I did a little digging and here are the 5 best steakhouses in North Carolina.

I was so relieved to find that many of the best steak houses in North Carolina are close.  Very close. Regardless of how you like them, nothing quite satisfies like a delicious piece of meat in the cut of your choice.  I am a ribeye girl but occasionally order the filet.  Chain steakhouses just don't quite satisfy sometimes.  We do grill at home.  A little trip to the butcher department of your favorite grocery store, about an hour to sous vide then put that baby on the grill.

What if you don't have the time to prepare your own steak and you just want to go into your favorite steakhouse?  Order what you like, add on a delicious side, and don't forget a refreshing cocktail.  A nice night out sounds just about right. The "Best Things In North Carolina" website has done the research for us and found the five best steakhouses in North Carolina.
