People are often drawn to conspiracy theories as a way to make sense of things that don’t make sense or have an explanation. Some are harmless like the existence of mysterious creatures. Others can erode trust in government and other organizations. And with the advent of social media, these conspiracy theories can spread like wildfire and can be very convincing leading people to believe they are true. I’ve watched a few documentaries and YouTube videos that had me buying into several popular theories. The Denver Airport? Yeah, that’s all-around weird if you haven’t seen it. I did a paper in college countering the conspiracy that 9/11 was an inside job.
