These North Carolina Jobs Are The Most Threatened By AI
Job security. We all want it. And while the main threat to employees is rooted in the economy and budgets there is a new factor causing a little bit of anxiety for workers. Artificial Intelligence or AI for short. So how much of a threat to North Carolina jobs is AI? Glad you asked. Our friends at BetCarolina.com dove into this and shared their research with us.
Here are the most common jobs in North Carolina (based on number of employees) that are at the biggest risk of getting replaced by AI:

Some of these don’t come as much of a shock, things like billing clerks, auditors, etc. But I’m not on board with the self-driving cars so mail carriers seem like a stretch to me. On the opposite end of the spectrum, they also looked at the jobs that are the safest. These included (among others) firefighters, civil engineers, electricians, police, and registered nurses. So if you are looking for a new career perhaps those are avenues you may want to pursue. As mentioned previously this data comes from BetCarolina. They took the top 100 most common jobs in North Carolina (based on the number of employees), and from there were able to determine which jobs in North Carolina are at the greatest risk of being taken over by AI during the next two decades.
