People Are Moving to North Carolina from This Other State
This state is a pretty great place to live, right? Well, we already know that, but now, it appears other areas of America are starting to figure it out. There’s a new study out about people leaving their home states and moving to other U.S. states. As it turns out, people are moving to North Carolina from one other popular state.
The study comes from Business Insider. They looked at moving trends to determine where people are flocking in the U.S. They mention that people are attracted to areas where the “cost of life is cheaper” and “the pace of life is slower,” among other factors. That’s probably even more true when people get to retirement age. People are are retired are usually on a fixed income and looking for a slower, more laid-back lifestyle.
People Are Moving to North Carolina from This Other State
Well, North Carolina is the No. 2 state people are moving to from the Sunshine State of Florida. According to the study, the percent of Florida shoppers looking at homes here is 3.75%. Also, the total Floridians who moved here in 2021 is 37,071. Finally, the typical home price is $363,000. If you’re wondering, No. 1 on the list is Georgia. As Business Insider reports, “Realtor.com data shows that Floridians are looking at homes in Georgia the most, as well as other surrounding Southern states. However, they’re also peeking north to New York, and west to Texas.”
Other states on the list included Alabama, New York, Texas South Carolina, Tennessee and North Carolina. Business Insider also points out that, “Many Floridians have been priced out and are eyeing a move to nearby states.” Of course, there are people from other areas who are always moving to Florida, as it’s a top retirement destination.
