When it comes to seeing a concert or live music, Charlotte has you covered with many venues throughout the city.

Living in a city like Charlotte, we can go to a couple of venues and each one of them has a different experience with how many people it’ll hold and what kind of food you can get. I always love to see a concert, and I still do today. Let’s check out Charlotte’s best venues for concerts.

The Fillmore Charlotte

The Fillmore Charlotte + The Underground are housed in a historic textile mill and is themed in the tradition of the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. The Original Fillmore has distinguished itself as a favorite among artists and fans alike because of the unique qualities of the theatre's ambiance and feel.

The Fillmore Charlotte features the iconic music venue's trademark decor, including red oak hardwood floors, red painted interior, and vintage posters.

Upcoming concerts at The Fillmore include Tori Kelly, Jesse McCartney's All Is Well Tour Part Two, and Dylan Gossett's The Back 40 Tour.

PNC Music Pavilion

PNC Music Pavilion is a fantastic outdoor music venue in Charlotte, North Carolina. Formerly known as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and originally called Blockbuster Pavilion, it is famous around Charlotte and the state for its outstanding live music. The venue originally opened on July 4, 1991, and has a large capacity of 18,768, making it the perfect place for summertime concerts.

Upcoming concerts at PNC Music Pavilion include Marco Antonio Solis, Post Malone, Cody Johnson with Ashley McBryde, and Thomas Rhett.

Skyla of Credit Union Amphitheater

Part of the rebranding of Charlotte's midtown outdoor concert venue came after Skyla Credit Union, previously known as Charlotte Metro Credit Union, underwent recent mergers and geographical expansion.

At Skyla, you can join a club and have your concert experience upped and there’s lots of good food, including Volt Burger, a family favorite.

Upcoming shows at the Skyla of Credit Union Amphitheater include Warren Zeiders, Weird Al Yankovic on the Weider Tour 2025, and Bullet for My Valentine.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
