Following the arrest and charges put against her, Watkins was suspended from the Lady Gamecocks basketball team and has not been back since. She was unable to accompany the team back in September during their White House visit to President Biden following their national championship win.
According to a news report, the charges against Watkins were dismissed as of November 1. So far, there has been no word regarding her suspension and whether she will return to the Gamecocks women's basketball team for this season.
The Lady Gamecocks just kicked off their season with a win against Michigan. Word on Watkins has not been made, but fans are hoping that she is able to make a return to the team. Although they won their opener, Watkins was a heavy part of their winning season last year and the team is looking to redo some of those wins.
