Operation Decisive Victory. So let me share is an awesome event with you. Stand Downs are typically one- to three-day events during which veteran organizations, VA staff, and other volunteers provide food, clothing, and health screenings to homeless and at-risk Veterans. Also, the veterans receive referrals for health care, housing solutions, employment, substance use treatment, mental health counseling, and other essential services.
Operation Decisive Victory’s specific goal with the Veteran Stand Down & Resource Fair is to gather community resources in one place where the veterans and their families can gain assistance and guidance on their needs. This will be the first stand-down of this size to be held in Cabarrus County, and they have received a commitment from over 10 nonprofits and local businesses to be in attendance at this Resource Fair – which includes federal and state agencies, and out of state organizations that are simply looking to be of service to the veteran community. At this event organizations will be providing our veteran, their families, and at-risk community members free food, clothing, hygiene items, haircut, and information on so many services available to them.
