There’s a saying if you want something done, get a woman. I’m going to talking to some fascinating and powerful women today. Black women make up less than 10% of the population, but according to a report on CNBC, Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the country. And the number of Black women-owned businesses continue to trend up even BEFORE the Covid pandemic. And according to Forbes, even though black women are the largest demographic of women starting businesses, many still struggle to profit. On average, only 3% survive longer than 5 years.
But, that’s not the case for all. There is a group of Black women, who are not just surviving, but thriving. They all who run their own businesses and who generate at least $1 million dollars in annual revenue. They call themselves The BOW Collective – Black Owner & Women’s Collective. And they say they are a different kind of girl group!
