I love passionate college football fans. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am one. I completely understand being angry about what you feel is a bad call. I've seen my fair share of them, and it's painful when the outcome of the game comes down to a call that could go either way. I support screaming at the refs, chants of "BS" non abbreviated, and ranting on social media. But I don't support what Tennessee fans did over the weekend, literally trashing the field.

Tennessee was ruled short of a 4th down with less than 2 minutes to go and needing a touchdown to tie the game v Ole Miss. And understandably fans were not happy. They then took to throwing beer cans, water bottles, and other items onto the field. So much trash ending up littering the field that the game had to be delayed. Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin who is also a former Tennessee head coach caught a golf ball thrown his way as he exited the field. A bottle of mustard (no idea how or why that even got in the stadium) also made its way onto the turf. Considering Texas A&M was fined $250,000 by the SEC for fans rushing the field there has to be consequences coming for Tennessee.

In what has already been a wild college football season this may be the most bizarre situation to unfold. Social media had a hard time comprehending what even took place, but here are some of the best reactions to one of the trashiest games on record. Sorry I couldn't help myself.
