Working remotely is growing exponentially in popularity and opportunities. While it’s not for me, at least not 100% of the time, many many people are fans. In fact, I know several people who would never consider an office job anymore. And for a lot of people, the new year can mean looking for a new job. If that sounds like you then you’ll want to be aware of the companies hiring most work-at-home employees. If you’re in North Carolina and in the market for a remote job, FlexJobs has released its 10th annual “Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs” list.
In the study, they note that between 2021 and 2022, “FlexJobs saw a 20% increase in the number of remote job listings on the site, compared with just 12% the previous year. And with the wider adoption of remote work came more variety in job titles and career levels. While a majority of positions were for experienced-level jobs (62%), manager and senior-level roles claimed 32% of the remote job listings. The remaining 6% of postings were attributed to entry-level jobs.”
So, which companies are hiring the most at-home workers right now? Below you’ll find the top 20 companies for remote jobs. While some are household names, others do more of the behind-the-scenes work. According to Flexjobs, “Activus Connect provides SmartVirtual technology and outsourced customer experience (CX) solutions to support and elevate phone, email, chat, text, video, and social experiences. As an employer, Activus Connect is Great Place to Work-certified and employs “remote-based ambassadors” who strive to change lives by deriving “authentic, heartfelt experiences.” In the past, the company has posted full-time, 100% remote jobs in call center, customer service, computer & IT, HR & recruiting operations, and other career areas.”

The Flexjobs description says that Robert Half International is the preeminent global professional staffing and consulting firm. Working Solutions takes the Silver! Their description on Flexjobs states that, “Working Solutions is a provider of on-demand sales and customer service agents who work from home. An “on-demand workforce expert,” the company believes that flexible work arrangements translate to decreased overhead expenses, “a borderless recruiting pool,” and more focused and productive team members.”
