Are you a lover of street foods as much as I am? We are talking about all the great foods like funnel cakes, soft pretzels, tacos, cheesesteaks, and so much more! I truly enjoy eating everything that should be eaten on a "cheat day" all at once. It makes the cheat day that much more worth it. Am I right or am I right?

Well, Mashed knows how much Americans love their street foods and named some of the most popular street foods in America. They say that street food should be portable, utensil-free, and handheld. Sounds like the perfect go-to snack (or meal) to enjoy while taking a stroll through Charlotte. Normally street food is tasty, fatty, and cheap which makes the meal that much better. Since Mashed took the liberty of naming some of America's favorite street food, I went on to let you know where you could find them in Charlotte. Why? Because what better way to learn about street food than finding out where to get it locally?

Soft Pretzel

Of course, soft pretzels made the list. Besides the mall, head to Philly Pretzel Factory to really get a bite of one of the best salty (or sweet) treats.

New York Pizza Slice

As a true pizza lover, this one might be one of my favorites on the list! Of course, Hawthorne's NY Pizza & Bar would be a great place to start.

Tacos

Okay, so street tacos really do vary from state to state. I would know, because I once had street tacos in Texas and they were completely different. But, between Taco Tuesday and any day of the week tacos are always a good call. Head to Mamacita's Taqueria and eat up!

Corn Dogs

Now, I know, not everyone is a fan of corn dogs. How crazy is that? But, if you were ever craving one and did not want to go to just Sonic, then head to The Original Hot Dog Factory.

Lobster Roll

Maybe I have not had a lobster roll, but I guess it is pretty popular. The Waterman Fish Bar I hear has a great lobster roll you should try out if you are ever craving it.

Po' Boy

Okay, now this is a must have! A Po' Boy was added to my list of meal time favorites recently and I must say they surely are addicting. It's a New Orleans favorite and has taken over everywhere else. If you have ever had one from Po Boy's Lowcountry Seafood then maybe you already know why it's on this list.

Fried Cheese Curds

Another one of my favorites. Wow, maybe street foods really are my thing. Plenty of places to get cheese curds, Moo & Brew would be a good place to start. Plenty of other things to enjoy, but order the cheese curds to start.

Burrito

I am sure a burrito makes sense! If you have a taco on the list, might as well toss a loaded burrito in there too. Sabor Latin Street Grill is one place to start!

Funnel Cake

Okay, now THIS is truly my favorite one. A funnel cake is the greatest fair food, street food, anything I have come across. I am 100% sure just my love for it alone helps make up for the reason it is on this list. Nadine's Funnel Cakes is a must try if you were wondering where to get one from! It can be original or loaded with some of the most insane toppings.

Poke

This one may not seem like typical street food, but it has truly gotten more and more popular. It more "healthy" compared to all of the other things on this list, so maybe that's a plus. Seoul Poke Bowl might be a good place to try if you were wondering where to get it from.

Cheesesteak

Well, we all know cheesesteaks are one thing that majority of people enjoy. Philly Corner has been named of one the go to spots for those in Charlotte looking to get a good bite.

Hot Dog

Corn dogs to hot dogs, wow that's a lot isn't it? Well, if you are going to get the corn dog from one place might as well head to The Hot Dog Factory once again! You can get a hot dog loaded up with all of your favorite toppings if you would like.
