Woman Drove To Gastonia NC Thinking It Was The Alps And The Internet Is Losing It

Listen there is nothing wrong with Gastonia. We love our Gaston county friends. But one thing it isn't? Gastonia is definitely not the Swiss Alps. And it doesn't compare. Sorry, it's just not that pretty, and it isn't even the mountains. But a viral parody TikTok video featuring photos of the Alps labeled as "Gastonia" was enough to convince one Florida woman to drive up here. The video has racked up millions of views, but I have to say I'm more interested in this woman. I have A LOT of questions about how she believed this and the apparent lack of ANY research she did. Like did you not google anything about this before you drove across 4 states? And did the cheap hotel and lack of resorts not raise a red flag? I'm not the only one perplexed by this either. It's getting a lot of attention and reactions online. Here are some of my favorite reactions to the womans actually believing Gastonia looked like the Alps and making the trip!
