Bernie is a local guy born and raised in Matthews, NC and a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. Since graduating in 2016, Bernie has worked as a Sideline Reporter for High School football radio broadcasts in Newton, NC and as a Videographer and On-Air talent for BasketballReelz and SoccerReelz here in Charlotte. His love of sports and people from a young age led him into radio where he’s right at home in the studio. Bernie is a Panthers, N.C. State, Braves, Hurricanes and Hornets fan.
Conor is a 22-year-old senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After spending his first 20 years on the beaches of New Jersey, Conor moved to the Queen City in order to boost his career in radio. His Journey with Beasley Media started in the fall of 2017 as an intern with 95.9 the WRAT in Belmar, New Jersey. After his internship was over, he earned the position of being on the promotions team. After transferring down to Charlotte, he later became a content creator for our sports station, Fox Sports Radio Charlotte. Although he loves and started his career in music, sports are a passion he has had all of his life. His two favorite sports are baseball and hockey. Conor’s best friend is a one-year-old Beagle named Sid, who he named after his favorite hockey player.
Mackie is a 22-year-old App State Alumnus who grew up and still lives in Salisbury, NC. Mackie first got interested in broadcasting when he picked up a microphone to announce his high school’s baseball game. After realizing how fun it was to get paid to talk, Mackie decided to pursue radio as a career at Appalachian State University. There he worked on the college radio station, 90.5 WASU-FM, as a Sports Intern and was later promoted to Assistant Sports Director. Mackie did play-by-play for App State Football, Basketball, Softball, and Baseball, as well as P.A., announced for those same sports. During the week Mackie was the DJ on the station for a few hours and hosted his own talk show, The Mackie Move. After graduation, Mackie met the wonderful people at Beasley Media Group and is now an employee with Fox Sports Radio Charlotte. Mackie’s favorite teams are the Carolina Panther, Charlotte Hornets, and the App State Mountaineers. He is also a lover of Bojangles, Breaking Bad, The Office and Call of Duty.
